The task at hand is not an easy one as the game is set in 1920s, the start of Prohibition in the United States, which means various types of business become illegal overnight by the decision of the Congress. Thoughtful choices of the player will play a pivotal role, as drawing too much attention from the authorities may conclude in a failed business in this branch.

Gameplay

To start a business in the 1920s, years of Prohibition in the US is no easy assignment. However, the player has just come to town and is a so-called small fish in the business. If the 'booze production' is to develop, the syndicate has to grow as well. The player needs to carefully plan their actions, as even minor mistakes may result in a failed business.

The attention of the authorities is another aspect of the game the player has to be aware of, as they will not simply stand by and watch as your production thrives. It is in the player's interest to make them stop investigating, whether by a bribe or other measures. No gangster can do it alone, though, as even bigger fish need allies to cooperate and trust. The player is the hero of their own story, and all accomplices can be chosen and changed. But caution is advised as not every one of the 'colleagues' has clear intentions. Some of them may want to get the business for themselves, and that cannot be allowed.
