The Last Stand: Aftermath is yet another installment in The Last Stand game series. As its fifth installment, it was launched in November 2021 and has received very positive reviews for its roguelike top-down gameplay, post-apocalyptic atmosphere, and balanced mechanics.
The virus still spreads
You find yourself 15 years after the events of The Last Stand: Union City. The zombie apocalypse has already ravaged the entire world. The only bastion of hope and humankind, The End, is the last refuge in this dilapidated and sick world. However, to maintain its status, the compound has to exile all people that get infected. Impersonate the exiled characters and survive as long as possible the harsh reality of the zombie apocalypse.
Make your last stand
You have been infected with a virus. But, there is still hope. As your days draw to an end, you strive to make a brighter future for those who will remain. Make your last stand against the virus, which will mutate, modify your body, and grant you new special abilities that will aid you in combating the zombie hordes. If the exile dies, take on another one who will also succumb to the infection one way or the other.
Game mechanics
The Last Stand: Aftermath offers top-down roguelike gameplay in which you will have to stay on your toes as hordes of zombies try to get to you. Do not let them kill you. Scavenge the area, roam the streets, and look for materials to craft new tools, weapons, and remedies. You can also find some medicine that will let you survive the infection longer and progress even further.
