The Suicide of Rachel Foster is a 2020 indie adventure game created by One-O-One games studio and released thanks to Daedalic Entertainment. After a few years, the main character arrives at the hotel belonging to her family to discover secrets about her past and the mysteries hidden in this strange facility.

Story

Ten years ago, Nicole, the main character of the game's plot, together with her mother discovered that her father was having an affair with a girl her age - Rachel. She and her mother left the hotel, and soon the affair ended in a pregnancy and the girl's suicide.

Nicole and her mother decide to sell the hotel and the main character travels there to complete the necessary formalities. By an unfortunate coincidence, the weather breaks down and Nicole is forced to stay at the hotel. There with the help of Irving, who works for the Federal Emergency Management Agency, she begins to explore and discover the previously unknown secrets of the place.

Gameplay

The gameplay in The Suicide of Rachel Foster can be called an adventure walking simulator. The game is mainly about exploring the building and talking to other characters. Nicole reflects on various thoughts about her and this place's past. The plot unfolds as the next goals are pursued. We have a few small tools to help, but the most important is the mobile phone, which is used to contact the agent of the FEMA. The Suicide of Rachel game is only possible in single-player mode.
